New Delhi. Vodafone India has now joined the Jio and Airtel race to increase its customer base by offering cheap smartphones and saving. It has announced a 4G smartphone for Rs 999.

The company said on Tuesday that it has tied up with mobile phone manufacturer Micromax for cheap smartphones. In the Micromax India series, this phone will be introduced in the name of    'India 2 Ultra'. The company claims that its camera, battery and display are the best for smartphones for the first time in the category of cheap smartphones.

Customers will first have to buy the phone at Rs 2,899 and in order to continue the service, for at least 36 months every month, at least Rs 150 will be recharged. At the end of the first 18 months, 900 rupees in Vodafone M-Money Wallet and 1,000 thousand rupees will be recovered at the completion of 36 months. Thus, he has claimed to have given the phone at Rs 999.
